A new banner unveiled to celebrate our wartime garden

New Wartime zoo banner unveiled at Newquay Zoo's wartime garden

Our New Wartime garden banner, designed by the zoo’s graphic designer Michelle Turton and commissioned by Zoo Director Stewart Muir. We love the Colditz style searchlight effects and chunky wartime stencil font.

After two weeks of very good weather (which parched and killed off our tomato plants rather than ripening them), the first autumn leaves are falling on our Autumn / late summer crops. Leaves will be collected for composting but also for animal enrichment around the zoo. Monkeys especially love them as bedding, playthings and a good source of creepy crawlies!
